Our specialty non-stick heat-resistant PTFE belts can be made endless by means of a joint which is often covered with a secured belt flap when using a mechanical joining system. This prevents any semi-molten rubber from sticking to the fastener and creating problems. This also prevents the lacing from making impressions on the finished product.
Hughes Industrial Sales can also supply the PTFE and silicone belt joints with a standard overlap. The slight lip created by this is normally covered for added protection. The edge of the belt, down the length of the joint can be sealed to give extra strength at the joint that can sometimes delaminate due to high temperatures of the oven.
