PTFE Zone Tapes utilize adhesion zones along the edges and an adhesive-free center zone to allow easy adhesion without sticking to the heating element or silicone rubber. Tape is produced from PTFE coated fiberglass fabric with a high temperature transfer adhesive and is perfect for heat sealing equipment. PTFE Zone Tape is available with varying zone widths, a PTFE non-stick surface, silicone adhesive and a durable woven fiberglass cloth substrate. The tape is designed to operate at temperatures from -40℉ to 500℉.
This tape is used to prevent adhesive from contacting a heating element or it is necessary to cover a component of a packaging machine such as silicone sponge or foam.
Zone tapes are primarily made from fabric thicknesses of .003 in., .005 in., .006 in. or .010 in.. Zone tapes are produced to your specifications. Both acrylic and silicone adhesive strips are available. These high temperature tapes resist chemical bonding, offer excellent release properties and endure abrasion. They also include a range of dielectric and thermal-insulative qualities.
